8/3/11 ~ 914INC. Magazine

Wednesday, August 3, 2011
Art director Halina Sabath from another Westchester magazine, 914INC., asked me to illustrate an article discussing the importance of an MBA in the world of business. The article considers that many people can reach the same levels of success without master’s degrees.

8/2/11 ~ Westchester Magazine: Revolutionary War Sites to Visit

Tuesday, August 2, 2011
This illustration was for Westchester Magazine, for an article about local revolutionary war sites to visit in July. It’s my humble (and silly) homage to the great Emanuel Leutze‘s painting, Washington Crossing the Delaware (below after the jump). Many thanks to art director, Aiko Masazumi for the fun job!

My favorite is the second one of the gnome peeing. That spot illustrates the question “Why are the worlds oceans different colors?”

6/14/11 ~ Hollywood Kill Album Cover

Tuesday, June 14, 2011
An album cover I did a while ago for a band called Hollywood Kill. It was fun designing some different typography than I’m used to.

6/9/11 ~ Aunt Martha Playing Bonnaroo!

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Here’s some more artwork for Aunt Martha. I initially made this poster for a big show they had at Mercury Lounge last Month, but then decided to make it a more generic poster for them to take on the road to all their venues. Including, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival! Also, for the past month, everyday leading up to Bonnaroo they did a cover of another band playing at the festival. They’ve done some really fantastic covers. Check them out here.

5/19/11 ~ Village Voice: Why I Hate Celebrities

Thursday, May 19, 2011

It’s nice to be back in the Village Voice working with art director John Dixon, this time illustrating for Michael Musto’s gossip column. The article is about why celebrities are terrible. Definitely a fun read. Inks after the jump…

3/24/11 ~ Coke Germany for Psyop

Thursday, March 24, 2011

some character concepts I did for Psyop for a pitch for Coke Germany. The concept was to create a character that would transform into a crate used for stocking Coca-Cola bottles. So, I used the crate as my jumping-off point and explored the ways it could transform.
